Suits star Patrick J Adams has sparked speculation he could be attending the royal wedding after revealing he is in England.

The Canadian actor, who plays Meghan Markle’s on-screen lover, spent Thursday afternoon at a historic pub in Buckinghamshire.

Rumours have been flying over whether Ms Markle’s co-stars on the hit legal drama would be invited to Saturday’s ceremony in Windsor.

Adams, who quit the series as well as Markle last year, shared two pictures on Instagram from the Royal Standard of England in Buckinghamshire.

“I have historically ale’d” he joked, alongside a picture of the pub’s sign which bills itself as the country’s oldest freehouse.

He posted a second picture with his wife and another unknown woman, taken in the pub’s sunny garden.

Fans on Instagram were quick to link his visit to Saturday’s royal wedding, with one commenting: “Wonder where he’s heading Sat?”

“Someone’s attending the royal wedding!” added another.

The 36-year-old previously revealed he no longer had Ms Markle’s phone number amid questions over whether he would be invited to her wedding.

In an interview with ET, he said he would not be able to contact her to ask for an invite even if he wanted to.

Following Kensington Palace’s official announcement about the wedding, Adams joked on Twitter: “She said she was just going to get some milk.”

He plays lead character Mike Ross in the US legal drama, who got engaged to Ms Markle’s character Rachel Zane at the end of Season Four.

Their wedding was put on hold when Ross was sent to prison at the end of Season Five, but went ahead in Season Seven.

The rest of the cast, including Gabriel Macht, Abigail Spencer, Gina Torres, Rick Hoffman and Amanda Schull, are expected to also be in attendance at the wedding on Saturday. However, it has been reported the group wil not be invited to the private evening reception.
