The new video for Westlife’s latest single My Blood stars the band’s young children - including Mark Feehily’s baby daughter Layla.

The Irish group, consisting of Feehily, Shane Filan, Kian Egan and Nicky Byrne, said that the single and video reflect “where we are at this time in our lives - raising children and starting families.”

The black and white footage features special appearances from all of the band’s children, including Filan’s three children Nicole, 14, Patrick, 11, and nine-year-old Shane Jr.

They are joined by Egan’s children Koa, seven, Zekey, four and two-year-old Cobi, who steals the show towards the end of the video when he refuses to stay still in the group shot and instead runs towards the camera

Byrne’s children, Rocco and Jay, both 12, also appear alongside six-year-old Gia.

The emotional clip gives a first glimpse at Feehily’s baby, who was born on October 1, in grainy home video footage.

Feehily and his fiance Cailean O’Neill confirmed the news of Layla’s arrival on Instagram earlier this month, telling followers that they were “the happiest Dads in the world!”

“My Blood has such beautiful lyrics,” the band said in a statement. “It is a powerful, heartfelt song which has such a strong meaning for all of us. The single reflects where we are at this time in our lives – raising children and starting families.”

“This is our fourth single that has been co-written by Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac. It has been brilliant to work with them. My Blood is the prefect lead into our upcoming album Spectrum.”
