Christine Lampard has recalled the terrifying moment she and husband Frank were nearly killed by falling scaffolding.

The Loose Women presenter, 39, claimed she had a premonition that something was going to happen during a routine stroll to a coffee shop.

Speaking to Digital Spy she said: “We were walking past it as we do every day and I said: ‘Frank I feel really funny about that scaffolding, I can just see it falling down’.

“I said, ‘I swear Frank, I think something is going to happen’, then I gave him a push and he hit the dog.

“I pushed him into the road and then this huge clump of stuff fell off and bounced off of the pavement and went into the road – a huge chunk of metal.”

Christine said the object was so big that it stopped the traffic.

She continued: “A bus and everything had to stop because of this huge clump of scaffolding. We both sort of stood there.

“The driver got out to see if we were okay. We would have been killed.”

The TV star joked that her ex-footballer husband always asks her to keep him updated on any premonitions.

Christine and Frank got engaged in 2011 before tying the knot in Knightsbridge, London in December 2015.

Christine recently opened up about the couple’s marriage, saying the secret is down to timing.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror she said: “I met Frank when I was 29 and he was 30, which was perfect because we’d lived our lives. If we’d met at 17, we might not be here now. And my mum used to say, when you’re younger, all that matters is your mates, but you’ve got to make that man your mate as well. I got that with Frank really quickly. We were on the same wavelength and laughed at the same things.”

But despite enjoying wedded bliss, she revealed that her husband’s inability to put a plate in the dishwasher leaves her fathomed.
