Tulisa Contostavlos will be the first guest performer on Britain's Got Talent's live shows.

The X Factor judge - who recently unveiled her first solo single Young away from N-Dubz - will sing on the series in what will be her first live gig on television, with Simon Cowell reportedly very keen to get her on-board.

A source told The Sun: "Simon is a big fan of Tulisa and is excited to have her on the show.

"He wants her to hold her head high and put in a storming performance."

Commenting on the development, Tulisa said she was excited to perform on the ITV1 show in front of judges Simon, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.

She revealed: "I'm very excited to be performing on Britain's Got Talent. It's a huge show, with a massive amount of viewers, for my first solo music performance. Of course, Simon will be watching so I'm performing in front of the X Factor boss too!"

Tulisa won the last series of X Factor with her group Little Mix - formerly known as Rhythmix - beating Marcus Collins in the final.
