‘Transformed’ Hugh Grant welcomes fifth child as ex-girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley says fatherhood has changed him

Hugh Grant has welcomed his fifth child his ex-girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley reveals that fatherhood has changed him.

The 57-year-old English actor and 35 year-old girlfriend Anna Eberstein had their child last week.

Bridget Jones’ Diary actor Grant has had all of his children after the age of 50.

Hurley appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she was quizzed on whether she was surprised by the amount of children her former flame had.

She replied: “He had another one last week. He has five. He was over 50 when he spawned them all."

“He's an enchanting dad. Really, really sweet. Having these kids has transformed him from a very miserable person into a fairly miserable person.

“It's an improvement. He's gone up the scale.”

The newborn child is Grant’s third child with Swedish TV producer Eberstein.

He also has two children with ex-girlfriend Tinglan Hong as well as being godfather to Hurley’s son.

Grant and Hurley split in 2000 after 13 years together and still boast their close friendship.

The actor recently described the pair’s relationship as that of a “brother and sister”.

He said: “We’re like brother and sister... I think it’s partly because we went from zero to somewhere together.

"We went through terrible years at the beginning when neither of us had any work, living in a tiny flat. It was quite bonding."
