Singer Taylor Swift was the biggest winner at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, as she took home eight awards including artist of the year.

Madonna — who appeared to have left half of her costume at home — won three, including top touring artist for her MDNA Tour, which was last year’s highest-grossing concert series.

Justin Bieber was named top male artist, but was met with boos from the audience.

He protested: “I’m 19 years old. I think I’m doing a pretty good job. It should really be about the music. This is not a gimmick. I’m an artist and I should be taken seriously. And all this other bull should not be spoken of.”

Jennifer Lopez was the lady in red as she performed at the ceremony.
