Stormzy surprised a fan when he arrived at their house to watch an episode of Soccer AM.

The grime artist – real name Michael Omari – took to Twitter to plead with his followers to record an episode of the Sky Sports show as it featured a pre-recorded interview with him.

The Not That Deep singer tweeted: “Can someone record soccer am for me I’ll come round later and watch it dead serious.”

The Thornton Heath born artist continued: “Preferably a South Londoner, we can bun a zoot as well lol.”

After Twitter user @samrankin96 offered up his living room, true to his word, Stormzy turned up.

He tweeted a picture of himself with Sam and another friend smoking in the garden.

He captioned the image: “Out ere with @samrankin96 & @georgemcmahon92.”

Stormzy – who won Best Grime Act at the 2014 MOBO Awards – recently threw himself into the race for Christmas number one after launching a campaign to keep X Factor's Louisa Johnson from the top spot.

He changed his Twitter name to #ShutUpForXmasNo1 and the hastag was soon trending on social media.

In an attempt to rally support from fans he wrote: "Nah f**k this #ShutUpForXMasNo1 LET'S DO THIS BUN X FACTOR!!! https://itun.es/gb/_Fe59 RT!!!!"

The track - which has climbed to number seven in the charts - is facing competition from Justin Bieber's Sorry and the NHS Choir's A Bridge Over You - a mash up of Coldplay’s Fix You and Simon & Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water.
