Comedian Stephen Mangan has reimagined Demi Moore’s iconic pregnancy photo shoot.

The Episodes star has recreated the famous image of Moore from the August 1991 cover of Vanity Fair to promote his new TV show, Birthday.

Mangan, 47, who plays a pregnant man in the Sky Arts drama, tweeted the image to his followers.

He captioned the picture: “Delighted #Birthdays will be shown on @SkyArts, Tuesday next week. I’m v proud of it & think it might surprise you.”

Mangan later reposted the image and joked that Fifa’s Sepp Blatter was responsible for the pregnancy.

Referring to the Fifa corruption scandal he captioned the image: “That’s all very well, Sepp, but you still haven’t taken responsibility for this…”

Mangan will play Ed in the new drama, written by Joe Penhall, while Death Comes to Pemberley actress Anna Maxwell Martin will star as his high-flying wife.

Speaking recently about the new show, Mangan said: "Now, for the first time, viewers are able to get right into the delivery room to witness the spectacle of a heavily pregnant man in all his hormonal, bloated, mammary-swollen glory; up close and (maybe a little too) personal."

Birthday is on Sky Arts at pm on Tuesday, June 9.
