After the nation’s hairdressers shut their doors following government advice to limit the spread of coronavirus, some people have given themselves dramatic lockdown makeovers - and actor Stephen Graham is one of them.

The This Is England star, 46, shared a video on Twitter showing his young son Alfie shaving off his hair with a pair of electric clippers.

He captioned it “lockdown locks!!!!”

The clip sees Alfie giggling before applying the clippers to his father's hair and shaving clean down the middle.

Meanwhile Graham uses his phone as a mirror, eventually guffawing with laughter as he sees his son’s handiwork.

“You’re doing it lad!” he says as Alfie continues, before telling him: “No patches!”

A female voice behind the camera can be heard saying “Oh my god!” as the haircut continues.

Alfie then reassures his father, telling him “Don’t worry mate, no patches here!” as a bemused Graham, now with a half-shaved head, looks into the lens.

Graham’s followers - and famous fans - applauded his son’s efforts, with broadcaster Lauren Laverne writing: “Absolutely splendid noggin there.”

Comedian Joe Wilkinson wrote “Fair play ha ha,” prompting fellow comic Jon Richardson to chime in with: “I’m going to do that. You in? You can just do bottom half if you want to save time.”

One fan responded by writing “This is fine until the Government says ‘Sorry, we miscalculated. You can all go out tomorrow…’” to which Graham replied with a crying laughing emoji.

The actor shares son Alfie and daughter Grace with wife Hannah Walters, an actress. The family are based in Leicestershire.
