Royal Ascot: Damian Lewis cuts a vintage figure as he steps out for a day at the races with wife Helen McCrory
Actor Damian Lewis cut a stylish figure as he arrived hand in hand with his wife Helen McCrory to Royal Ascot today.
Sporting a moustache and bushy side burns, the Homeland actor dressed for the occasion in top hat and tails with a double breasted waistcoat waistcoat by British menswear label Oliver Brown and a name badge reading ‘Damian Lewis esquire’.
His unique look was most likely for his role as Walter 'Teach' Cole in the West End revival of American Buffalo, which opened at Wyndham's Theatre in London in April.
Lewis, 44, was joined by McCrory, 46, who acknowledged the event dress code and stole the attention of photographers in a sleeved blue and white patterned dress which she teamed with a large hat and sunglasses.

The pair's appearance comes a day after Lewis was tipped to become the next James Bond.
Bookmakers yesterday slashed odds following a flurry of bets over the weekend.
While Idris Elba is still favourite to play the role after Daniel Craig bows out, William Hill has now slashed the odds on Lewis from 25/1 to 3/1.
Other famous faces in attendance at the first day of the annual sporting event were TV double act Declan Donnelly and Ant McPartlin, who were accompanied by their partners, designer Henry Conway, Bruce Forsyth and his wife Wilnelia Merced and TOWIE star Billie Faiers who looked stunning in a white midi dress.
