Ronnie Wood: ‘The Stones are thrilled I’m going to be a dad again – Mick wants to be our nanny’

Ronnie Wood has admitted that his Rolling Stones band mates are ‘thrilled’ that he’s set to become a father again.

The 69-year-old rocker, whose wife Sally is pregnant with twin girls, is lining up Mick Jagger for ‘nanny’ duties when they’re born.

In a new interview with Hello magazine, he said: “The Rolling Stones are all thrilled. Keith loves kids, so he's excited, and Mick keeps telling me to give him a year and then he'll be our nanny.

“So now we're calling him Nanny Mick."

He added: “Everyone is thrilled for me. The Stones are one big family. It's all about the kids. In this tour everyone's been there: [Mick's children] Jade, Karis, James, Lizzy, Gabriel, Lucas and Georgia May; Patti and Keith's girls [Theodora and Alexandra] and Charlie's granddaughter Charlotte.

"My girls will be two more added into the mix. I hope my girls will becoming on tour with me for years to come.”

Sally was watching the Stones’ recent gig in Cuba from backstage and felt the twins kicking along to the music.

“They really wake up in the evenings and they love music. They were kicking away at the Stones show in Cuba,” she said.

Wood, who is already father to four children, recently revealed the sex of the babies on Twitter.

He wrote: “Our baby GIRLS are growing beautifully ~ thank you for the love!”
