DVD Who Framed Roger Rabbit? PG, Touchstone, £12.99

Roger Zemeckis's fab tale of the animated Toons taking over LaLa Land makes it to a special edition disc (initially available only from Woolies).

Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins) is the private gumshoe hired to tail Roger's wife, the impossibly curvy, Toon singing sensation Jessica Rabbit. But Eddie soon finds himself up to his neck in a film noir plot of corruption and murder and Jessica's the femme fatale with va va voom.

Endlessly entertaining, this blend of live action and animation is propelled by the kind of caustic humour beloved of Looney Tunes original, Chuck Jones. With a bunch of splendid extras, this is definitely a must-buy.
