Robert Pattinson didn’t go to the supermarket for ‘six years’ due to Twilight fame
Robert Pattinson has admitted that he became so famous while starring in Twilight that he couldn’t go to the supermarket for six years.
The British actor claims that he had fans camping outside his home and was followed around 24/7 while starring in the franchise.
In a new interview with NME magazine, the 29-year-old speaks out about the madness that surrounded him at the height of his fame.
He said: “I had people sitting outside my house every single day, and it drove me crazy. I didn't go into a supermarket for about six years.

Since wrapping the final instalment of the saga back in 2012, Pattinson has seen his life slowly get back to normal.
He added: “But now I can go in and chat to the guy who's working there about his kids, or where he's going on holiday, and not be thinking, 'Is he gonna sell me out?'
“I just don't have to think about that stuff anymore.”
Pattinson, who is currently dating musician FKA Twigs, admits that he finds it baffling that he used to go to awards ceremonies.
He said: “I was watching the MTV VMAs the other day and thinking how bizarre it was that I ever did that s**t.
“I remember doing those awards and saying the dumbest stuff. And I was hungover for most of it."
