British singer Robbie Williams is auctioning off memorabilia from his pop career to raise money for a children’s charity.

Williams, 41, will put 150 personal artefacts, including awards, stage costumes and handwritten lyrics dating back to the early 1990s, under the hammer in the Bonhams sale.

Other "prized possessions" include a multi-platinum award for his album I've Been Expecting You, a cream two-piece suit he wore for the music video for Radio, his MTV video music award for Take That and handwritten lyrics for Let Me Entertain You.

The singer described his role as patron of The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice as a “privilege”.

Williams said: “It’s a privilege for me to be a patron of The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice.

“It makes a real difference to these children whose lives have been tragically limited."

He described the items up for auction as "personal markers" of his career.

Williams said: “The sale gives a great opportunity for bidders to know their money will go to such a fantastic charity, whilst also taking home some of my most prized possessions that have been personal markers of my career and life so far.”

The auction will kick off on July 15 at 3pm at Bonhams Knightsbridge in London.

Fans can live stream the auction from home as the items go under the hammer.
