Carol Vorderman has become the first celebrity to win Rear of the Year twice.

The former Countdown maths expert first won the prize in 2011 and now at 53, she has been honoured again.

She said: "I am both surprised and flattered to win the award for a second time - particularly at this stage of my life.

"As I said when I won it in 2011, I always suspected there were a lot of people out there who were glad to see the back of me. It now appears there were even more than I thought."

Vorderman recently stepped down from the Loose Women panel to concentrate on her ambition to fly around the world solo.

The runner up was newly married Cheryl Fernandez-Versini while the winner of the male award was singer and Xtra Factor presenter Olly Murs.

The annual award is decided by a public poll which this year received over 10,000 votes.

Former winners include Charlotte Church, Felicity Kendall, Ian Wright and Denise Van Outen.
