Paul Walker’s father is suing Porsche after his son died in a car crash back in 2013.

A week after the car manufacturer responded to a lawsuit filed by the actor’s daughter Meadow Rain, Paul Walker Snr is suing the company.

According to reports, Walker has filed a lawsuit claiming that the Porsche Carrera GT that the star was riding in at the time of his death ‘lacked safety feature’s that could have saved his life.

Walker claims that that features including a stability control system, side-door reinforcements and a breakaway fuel line could have prevented the car from bursting into flames upon collision.

The star’s father, who is the executer of his estate, is seeking unspecified damages.

Walker’s daughter has already filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against the company, prompting them to respond with a seven-page defence.

The defence stated that the actor was aware of the “ricks, perils and dangers” involved in driving the car and was “a knowledgeable and sophisticated user of the 2005 Carrera GT.”

Meadow’s lawyer Jeff Milam has since criticised the response, saying in a statement:

“If Porsche had designed the car to include proper safety features, Paul would have survived, he would be filming Fast And Furious 8, and Meadow Walker would have the father she adored.”

Walker was a passenger in friend Roger Rodas’ car when it crashed into a pole and burst into flames in California in November 2013.

Rodas’ widow also has a pending claim against Porsche in federal court.
