Sir Patrick Stewart and Whoopi Goldberg were among a bunch of celebrities who put in Oscar winning performances as they dramatically read out a string of Kanye West’s most memorable tweets.

Vanity Fair roped the famous faces into dramatic readings of the rapper’s tweets at the publication’s Academy Awards after party.

Goldberg was first up and put on her best ‘disapproving’ look as she said: “You may be talented, but you’re not Kanye West.”

Star Wars director J.J. Abrams attempted the same line, but added more intensity.

Stewart looked close to tears as he put on an emotionally intense reading of: "It’s a beautiful time. I love my friends. I love my family. I love people. Whole f*****g human race I love."

Kate Hudson also opted for an emotional performance as she read out West’s famous tweet: “I’m not even gonna lie to your right now. I love me so much right now.”

James Corden put on a sensual display as he read out a tweet about getting “emotional over fonts,” while Emily Ratajkowski threw a strop as she brought West’s tweet about struggling to find a Persian rug to life.

Martin Short, Juno Temple, Priyanka Chopra, Will Arnett, Conan O’Brien and Michael Strahan also took part.
