Love Island winner Paige Turley has teased her plans for when things return to normal in the UK.

The Love Island winner, 22, has revealed that she's hoping to return to her roots as a singer when the coronavirus crisis eases.

Speaking exclusively to the Evening Standard, Paige explained: “There’s a lot of chats in the background of me going back into music. I don’t know how much I’m able to say! But there will definitely be all go when lockdown is over. It’s exciting.”

Britain’s Got Talent fans will remember Paige previously making it to the semi-finals of the programme in 2012, wowing with her rendition of Birdy’s Skinny Love.

Simon Cowell told Paige, then only 14, that she had "a very interesting and unique voice" - and that he really liked her as an artist.

Fans were blown away by Paige once again as she unveiled her talents on Love Island back in February, when she sang her own version of Robin S's Show Me Love.

For now, Paige is staying at her parents' house with her partner from the show Finn Tapp - with the pair going from strength to strength while in lockdown.

The reality star is self-isolating with her boyfriend, 20, after he travelled all the way up to Scotland to ensure they would be together.

But while holing up together for an indefinite amount of time would be difficult for some new couples, Paige is enjoying time alone with Finn – for now.

She explained: “We said we were never going to be able to spend that time apart. We’ve only had four days apart since we first met, which is strange for a new couple. But we had a lot of practise in the villa.”

However, Paige, who is the ex-girlfriend of Lewis Capaldi, admits it’s still quite early days for the pair, who won Love Island in February.

“We’re very much still in the honeymoon period,” she said. “Maybe if you ask me in three years time, I’d find bits about him so annoying. But we’re in this good spell where we find everything either funny or cute.

“We do try and structure our day and spend time apart, so we’re not in each other’s pockets, and then we try and do something fun together in the evening, like baking.”

“We are very similar. We can have a laugh and a joke with each other. Here’s hoping we last."

Looking forward to the future, Paige revealed she's keeping her fingers crossed and hoping Love Island's summer series goes ahead.

“Like the whole world in general, we’re unsure when there’s going to be light at the end of the tunnel," she said.

“I think it’ll be nice of people to see and have a bit of normality with Love Island, and see people in the sun so here’s hoping it’s able to go ahead.”
