Boy band One Direction are looking to dominate the charts this Christmas after announcing they will release their third album at the end of November.

The record, called Midnight Memories, will include their number one hit Best Song Ever.

The band's previous two albums have topped charts around the world and their recent film made almost £3.5 million at the UK box office in the first weekend after its release, as well as raking in £11 million in its opening weekend in the US.

The band - Louis Tomlinson, 21, Zayn Malik, 20, and 19-year-olds Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Niall Horan - was put together during the 2010 series of The X Factor and, despite coming third behind winner Matt Cardle and runner-up Rebecca Ferguson, they have gone on to be one of the talent show's biggest success stories.

The album will be released on November 25.
