Holly Willoughby stole the show on the National Television Awards red carpet in a princess-style gown.

The This Morning presenter wore a lilac gown with a pale blue tulle underskirt for the annual awards.

Willoughby and her co-host Phillip Schofield are up for the Live Magazine Show trophy at tonight's ceremony.

The fairytale-worthy dress, which featured an unusual crossover front, was designed by Peter Langner.

Love Island stars Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard were among the first celebrities to arrive on the red carpet..

Higgins, 29, looked sensational in a semi-sheer dressed covered in intricate lilac beading, with feathered sleeves.

Her boyfriend, who she met while taking part in the fifth series of the ITV dating show last year, looked smart in a tuxedo and bow tie, with a purple handkerchief to complement Higgins' outfit.

Higgins is currently competing in Dancing On Ice, while Pritchard has joined BBC One's The Greatest Dancer.
