Nicole Scherzinger slams X Factor judge Louis Walsh after he claimed she was lying about her age
Nicole Scherzinger had a bone to pick with Louis Walsh at The X Factor launch after he accused her of lying about her age.
Walsh, 65, claimed that Scherzinger – who judges alongside him on the ITV reality show – is older than 39.
Hitting back at Walsh, Scherzinger told The Sun: “I wish I was lying about my age, I have never lied about my age.
“I should have started lying a long time ago.”
Taking a swipe at the music manager she added: “I’m just really grateful that Louis is still with us, really grateful.”
Walsh angered the former Pussycat Dolls singer when he praised her ability to stay up late and still be “on it” for filming the following day despite her “age”.
“She's hilarious, talented and gorgeous,” he told Heat!
“She ticks every box. She may be out really late the night before filming but she's still on it.”
He continued: “It's great that she can still do all of it at her age.
“Nobody knows what age she is, but she's older than she says she is.”
Walsh and Scherzinger have been reunited with Sharon Osbourne and Simon Cowell for the 14th series of The X Factor which returns to TV on Saturday night.
The show has undergone a shake-up with contestants encouraged to perform their own songs and a crack-down on the number of novelty acts.
The X Factor is on ITV on Saturday at 8pm.
