Kylie Jenner’s fans were left disappointed after she and boyfriend Travis Scott failed to channel Mary and Joseph with their daughter Stormi at the Met Gala.

Fans were hoping Jenner would take advantage of the Heavenly Bodies religious theme by bringing along Stormi as “baby Jesus”.

Some even joked they were hoping Jenner would baptise the three-month-old at the bash.

One fan tweeted: “KYLIE WAS SUPPOSED TO SHOW UP WITH STORMI AND BAPTIZE HER ON THE MET GALA CARPET ARE YOU KIDDING MEEEE.”

Another wrote: “Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott should have brought a whole f****** nativity scene with them with baby Jesus Stormi.”

Jenner struggled to keep her hands off of Scott as the new parents made their red carpet debut at the bash, despite going public with their relationship over a year ago.

The pair made sure to colour coordinate with Jenner in a cut out black Alexander Wang gown which she teamed with sunglasses and Scott opting for a black suit with belted detailing.

They kissed for the cameras as they walked arm-in-arm up the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

They were joined by Jenner’s sisters Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian. Kendall opted for a white flared jumpsuit while Kardashian stood out in gold as she arrived with co-chair Donatella Versace.

Her husband Kanye West was absent after allegedly being “all over the place about going”.

A source told Us Weekly: “One minute he says that he will go. Another, he insists that the album needs more work. Kim just wants to go to the gala and have a great time.

Other stars in attendance included Sarah Jessica Parker, Oscar winner Frances McDormand, Zendaya, Ariana Grande, Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Princess Beatrice.

Rihanna, who co-chaired the event with Amal Clooney, Anna Wintour and Versace, sparked controversy with her Pope-inspired John Galliano gown which was deemed “disgusting” and “offensive” by some.
