Lupita Nyong'o honoured with top accolade at Glamour Women of the Year Awards
Lupita Nyong’o was awarded the Woman of the Year accolade at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards at New York’s Carnegie Hall last night.
The 12 Years a Slave actress looked stunning in a white jewel encrusted dress as she took to the stage for an emotional acceptance speech.
On collecting her award Lupita, 31, said: "I am still a work in progress and hope to always be...To be woman is to be human. And to be human is to seek perfection and to find joy in never obtaining it."
