Love Island's Chris Taylor has confirmed he has split from Harley Brash, three weeks after the dating show’s finale.

The couple, who met in the villa this summer, are the first pair from 2019’s series to break up.

Taylor, 28, and Brash, 21, were the subject of break-up rumours last week, but the reality star said that they officially called things off last night.

On Monday morning, he shared a photo of him and his ex and told Instagram followers that he was "sad" to announce the news.

“Both of us have been very busy with separate opportunities and haven’t had enough quality time for each other," he continued.

"We both have the upmost support and respect for one another and the decision was made amicably. I wish her all the best and will always be glad we rode the Love Island adventure together.”

He went on: "I will be very proud of everything she has done and everything she'll do. The future is bright crumpet go get em! Chris xx."

Taylor and Brash started a romance inside the villa after joining the show in its latter stages and confirmed they were a couple on Love Island Aftersun on August 4.

Since leaving Majorca, the duo have had dates and made appearances on Good Morning Britain, Kiss FM, and Heat Magazine's Under the Duvet YouTube.

Taylor and Brash's split makes for one of the fastest break-ups in Love Island history, tying in closely with last year’s Samira Mighty and Frankie Foster.

Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea won Love Island 2019, beating more established couple Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury.

Ovie Soko and India Reynolds and Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard finished in third and fourth place respectively.
