Loose Women panellist Andrea McLean was forced to apologise twice after Britt Ekland swore and discussed drug use on the daytime show.

The former Bond girl was discussing her marriage to Peter Sellers when she revealed that the director had introduced her to marijuana.

Recalling her first experience with the drug the Swedish actress said she had no knowledge of the substance prior to living in Hollywood.

“I know I sound really naive but we didn’t really have any drugs in Sweden,” she said.

Ekland then re-enacted the first time she smoked marijuana and pretended to inhale.

McLean “Obviously as a programme we’re not condoning that at all. It was part of your life’s rich tapestry.”

Ekland – who also opened up about her struggle with body dysmorphia – later let slip a couple of swear words as she discussed her pet dog.

"You know he really saved me at times,” she said. “When you have been on a really sh**** tour and really sh**** moments..."

A panicked McLean interjected: “Excuse me, I am sorry. We don't condone that language." Attempting to tame Ekland's sentence McLean added: "You mean dodgy?"
