Lisa Moorish has spoken out in defence of Noel Gallagher, saying that he was with Liam’s daughter during the One Love Manchester concert.

The singer-songwriter responded to Liam’s tweet about his brother’s absence at Sunday’s concert to say that he was spending time with Molly, who she claims Liam has “never even met.”

Moorish, who has since made her Twitter account private, mimicked Liam's tweet, writing: “Maybe he’s busy looking after his kids and the daughter you’ve never even met! AS YOU WERE x LM.”

She posted a picture of Noel with 20-year-old Molly on Instagram, under the caption: “Uncle Noel @themightyi with my beautiful girl @mollymoorish #FAMILYFIRST Mol working hard revising for exams so had to miss the fun last week. Belated celebrations soon! @saspg.”

Liam slammed his brother for his failure to attend Ariana Grande’s concert on Monday morning, branding him a “sad f***.”

“Noels out of the f****** country weren't we all love get on a f****** plane and play your tunes for the kids you sad f***,” he wrote.

He added: “Manchester I’d like to apologise for my brothers absence last night very disappointed stay beautiful stay safe LG x.”

Molly was conceived just weeks after Liam married Patsy Kensit back in 1997, and the father and daughter have never had a relationship.

In 2009 Moorish told Hello magazine: “Liam is there for Molly in so far as he helps support her and would be there for us if we needed him. But is he involved with her on a daily basis? Then the answer to that is no.

“I hope in time they’ll form a relationship. She is such an amazing little girl: bright, funny – quite a brainbox. He’d be really proud of her, so hopefully, as I said, one day they will get to know one another.”
