Lisa Armstrong has hit out at paparazzi pictures taken of her while wearing pink leg warmers and flip flops.

The make-up artist was pictured on the phone outside an Essex hotel as she enjoyed a spa break.

Armstrong, who split from Ant McPartlin earlier this year, hit back at the “creepy men in bushes” taking the photos.

Posting to her 137,000 followers, she wrote: “Whilst I still have one ass instead of two, I’ll wear what I want if that’s ok by you.....

“Erin Brockovich #pinklegwarmersrock #washavingaspaday #leavemealone #creepymeninbushes.”

Armstrong, who heads up the make-up team on Strictly Come Dancing, ended her 11-year marriage to McPartlin in January.

Days ago, Armstrong liked a fan tweet about “losing hope” and being told she “won’t face this alone”.

The sweet image, adorned with two teddy bears, read: “We’ve all hit a time when we’ve lost hope and need someone to put their arms around us and say: “I’ve got you right now, I won’t let you face this alone.”

Alongside the picture, the tweet read: “So so true. I would give you a hug and tell you I'm here for you any day as i just feel that your one amazing young lady. “

The make-up artist was not invited back to Saturday Night Takeaway following her split from McPartlin who stars and produces the show with Declan Donnelly. She has since taken up a post on Stephen Mulhern’s upcoming In For A Penny which is also part of McPartlin’s production company.

Hitting back at claims she needs the TV presenter for work, she tweeted: “Just for the record I’ve worked and got my own work for the last 15 years in my own name! #justsaying #businessasusual #stopmakingstuffup x.”
