Chris Eubank Jr and Lily Allen have had an unlikey Twitter spat after the singer accused the boxer of having "no respect" for women over comments he made about ring girls.

The pop stat hit out at Eubank Jr after he warned the girls that his father would “pie” them if they photobombed him, prompting him to taunt her about her past battles with alcohol and drug abuse.

Allen told Eubank Jr to have more “respect” for women after he posted a video clip of his father moving a ring girl out of the way so he could get in shot.

He tweeted: “To all ring girls. Do not photobomb me as my dad has a very particular set of skills.

“He will look for u, he will find u & he will pie u.”

Allen took aim at their actions, replying: “They are doing their job. Your dad went bankrupt and gave you to a stranger in Vegas, the only photobomber here is him.”

The super middleweight champion claimed his comment was said in jest, before taunting Allen over her previous drug and alcohol abuse.

He tweeted: “Its called banter Lily. You’re well known for abusing drugs & alcohol so maybe focus on respecting yourself 1st before worrying about others.”

She hit back: “I’m actually sober but thanks.

“It’s called misogyny. Are you saying people with addiction and mental health issues issues have no self-respect?”

She later added: “When the joke is at the expense of young women just doing their jobs, especially in such an alpha industry. It’s not funny. #respectwomen.”

Twitter users told Allen to “chill out” and criticised her for mocking Eubank Jr for being adopted.

Others said she had taken the tweet too seriously and encouraged her to “step away” from Twitter.
