Liam Gallagher joked that he “got bored s******” watching new film As It Was, which charts the beginnings of his solo career.

Speaking to Sky News ahead of the film’s premiere last night, the former Oasis star said he found As It Was tedious “because it’s about me.”

He added that the feature is “more of a documentary than a film, promising: “It’s not f****** Star Wars, although it’s got a few stars at war in it.”

The film includes the Mancunian star’s solo music but does not feature any Oasis songs on the soundtrack.

Liam claimed that this is because his brother Noel, who was the band’s main songwriter, did not give permission for the tracks to be used.

“Him and his little people saw it and took the Oasis music out of it because that’s all he’s got left, d’ya know what I mean,” he told Sky.

Standard Online has contacted a representative for Noel for further comment.

Despite this, Liam claimed that his “bags are packed” if a reunion could be agreed upon.

He also revealed that it had been “pretty emotional” to film scenes with the rest of his family.

“The stuff with my mam, the cameras going to my mam’s house, that was pretty emotional,” he said. “My daughter’s in it, my kids, my missus and all that. It’s all kind of pretty emotional really.

“When people talk about how much you mean to them and all that stuff, that’s pretty emotional.”

As It Was focuses on the lead up to and the release of Liam’s debut solo album As You Were. The singer describes it as a “documentary about my musical comeback. It covers the writing and recording of my first solo album, right through to playing it live for the very first time in my hometown of Manchester and around the world.”

As It Was is out in UK cinemas from today.
