Lady Gaga lead a moving tribute to the victims of the Orlando shootings at a vigil in Los Angeles.

The pop star and outspoken LGBT supporter broke down in tears during an emotional speech outside City Hall.

Addressing the huge crowd of people who had turned out in solidarity to the 49 men and women who were killed at Pulse nightclub on Sunday morning, she said:

“This is an attack on everyone. Tonight I gather humbly with you, as a human being in peace and sincerity, in commitment, in solidarity, to take a real moment and mourn the tragic loss of these innocent, beautiful people.

“Let’s all today pledge an allegiance of love to them and their families who are suffering so deeply.”

As a group of people held up a sign reading ‘Orlando’ behind her, the 30-year-old continued:

“Tonight I will not allow my anger and outrage over this attack to overshadow our need to honour those who are grieving, truly, for their lost ones, lost members of the LGBT community.

“I hope you know that myself and so many are your allies.”

Gaga went on to read out names of the victims, joined by a number of other people who took to the stage to do the same.

Vigils and memorials were held all over the world on Monday night to honour and remember the victims of gunman Omar Mateen.

A GoFundMe page has currently raised £2.1 million for families affected by the tragic event, all donated within 48 hours.

In London, thousands of people congregated in Soho’s Old Compton Street on Monday night to show solidarity with the LGBT community.
