Kirsten Dunst slams Spider-Man reboots: ‘They’re milking that cow for money’
Kirsten Dunst has slammed the new Spider-Man reboots, claiming that producers are simply “milking” a cow for money.
The Hollywood actress, who played Mary-Jane opposite Tobey Maguire in Sam Raimi’s original trilogy, has insisted that her films were “the best ones.”
Talking about the forthcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming, starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, Dunst admitted that she didn’t “care”.
She told Marie Claire: “We made the best ones, so who cares? I’m like, ‘You make it all you want.’ They’re just milking that cow for money. It’s so obvious. You know what I mean?
The Bedguiled star expressed similar sentiments in an interview with Variety, saying: “I don’t care. Everyone likes our Spider-Man. C’mon, am I right or what? Listen, I’d rather be in the first ones than the new ones.”

Dunst starred in three of the superhero films between 2002 and 2007 but was replaced with Emma Stone for 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man and 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
British star Holland now takes over the mantle in yet another new Spider-Man film, this time directed by Jon Watts.
Despite the fact the film is yet to hit cinemas, a sequel has already been confirmed, due for release in 2019.
