Kim Kardashian has revealed that she “cried and screamed” after she heard the comments made by husband Kanye West about slavery.

Reports suggested that Kardashian was “worried” about West following the comments but she has now confirmed her immediate reaction was to cry, adding that it did play out as West’s new lyrics by revealing there were “screams and cries for days”.

Speaking to Extra at the CFDA Awards earlier this week, she said: “I cried [when I heard the song] because it is a lot of what we went through... I know my husband has the best intentions. He has the biggest heart.

“I know his heart, so I know he’ll always have that chance to explain himself when the time is right.

“This time I wasn’t so calm... I know what he meant so ultimately, after a week, I was calm... I think he explained it well in the song.”

West references the outrage with track Wouldn’t Leave on his new album Ye, which dropped last Friday.

Lathan said: “I actually don’t think you’re thinking anything. I think what you’re doing is the absence of thought.

“The reason why I feel like that is because Kanye, you’re entitled to your opinion, you’re entitled to your thoughts, you’re entitled to believe whatever you want but there is fact and real world, real life consequence behind everything you just said.”
