Khloe Kardashian faces criticism for 'calories' joke caption on Instagram photo of daughter True

Khloe Kardashian faced a backlash after she shared a holiday picture of her daughter and niece with a caption referring to "calories."

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, 35, was criticised by Twitter users after she posted photos of her daughter, True, and her niece Chicago West, who is the daughter of Kim Kardashian, eating snacks together.

She captioned the image by imagining a conversation between the children, writing: “Chi: I heard my mama say 'vacation calories don’t count.' True: Don’t tell me twice Chi."

Social media users quickly responded by calling out Kardashian for making a reference to diets while posting photos of the infants.

One Twitter user asked: “Are you introducing diet culture to your infant child? Don't do that!"

Another social media fan added: “And you can say it’s just a joke, they’re just children, but you plant this seed early, you set THIS example early, it’s what they learn and then it’s what they believe.”

"Teaching your children toxic diet culture. That’s sick," one Instagram user wrote.

"Very cute photo but uploading photos of babies eating then talking about counting calories is so weird," another said.

"Calories and children do not need to be in the same sentence even if it's a joke," a third fumed.

Kardashian faced further censure from an Instagram troll who accused her of using her daughter as "an accessory" by posing alongside her in Instagram photos.

"Would you like a parent NOT to create memories and traditions with their child?" the reality star hit back in a comment. "Would you like someone else to watch my child and me do these things on my own?

"I am her mother and we will celebrate life together everyday. True and I are creating magical memories TOGETHER FOREVER."

Elsewhere, the Revenge Body presenter admitted that she is thinking of having a second child as she responded to a more positive comment.

"She needs a sister or brother! Come one Khloe you light up having your baby around you 2 need a three pack," a fan suggested.

The star then teased: "Hehe maybe one day. You never know. What's meant to be will be but right now I'm LOVING every second I have with her."

Kardashian broke up with NBA player Tristan Thompson – who she shares True with - earlier this year after it was reported that he kissed family friend Jordyn Woods at a party.
