Katy Perry says Orlando Bloom stripped naked on a paddle board to ‘show off’

Katy Perry has broken her silence on the moment Orlando Bloom did a Kim Kardashian and ‘broke the internet’.

Perry, 32, said the actor stripped naked for a paddleboard session to “show off” to the people on the shore.

The US pop superstar said he encouraged her to strip off too, but she wasn’t “in the mood”.

Recalling the headline hitting moment, Perry told KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O: “He asked me if I wanted to be [naked] and I was just like, It’s one of those things where I was like: ‘Oh nah’.

“You know when you're dating someone sometimes, it's exciting to be like: ‘Oh, should we try and make out over here in this place?’ or what have you, and I was just not in the mood. I saved it for the boat.”

Perry, who split from Bloom earlier this year, was pictured hitching a ride with the actor who was full frontal naked on a paddleboard during their holiday in Italy last August.

Explaining Bloom’s decision to forgo swimming trunks, Perry said: “He wanted to show off for the people on the shore. He thought it was funny.

“Oh oh, it was so funny because I was explaining Twitter and social media to him for weeks because he had taken a break and then all of a sudden he was like trending number one on twitter!”

Social media went into meltdown as fans posted gifs and memes to describe their reaction to the images.

Others used the aubergine emoji to show their shock on seeing the alleged shadow of Bloom’s private parts.
