Actress Kathleen Turner has slammed the cast of Friends for “not making her feel welcome” because of their “clique” nature when she guest-starred on the show.

Turner appeared in three episodes of the hit NBC show as Chandler Bing’s (Matthew Perry) drag father Helena Handbasket but didn’t really hit it off with Perry and co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow.

In a damning interview with Vulture, Turner said: “I didn’t feel very welcomed by the cast.

“The Friends actors were such a clique — but I don’t think my experience with them was unique. I think it was simply that they were such a tight little group that nobody from the outside mattered.”

The 64-year-old gave an example from her time on set, explaining that her high heels were making it hard for her to stand.

She explained: “I remember I was wearing this difficult sequined gown — and my high heels were absolutely killing me.

“I found it odd that none of the actors thought to offer me a seat. Finally it was one of the older crew members that said ‘Get Miss Turner a chair’.”

Turner refused to comment to the publication when asked how she found the main cast personally and individually.

And the Friends cast weren’t the only talent in Turner’s firing line as she also slated Elizabeth Taylor’s acting ability during her revealing interview, saying that she “wasn’t very skilled” in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?.

Nicolas Cage also came under fire, with Turner speaking about her time on Peggy Sue Got Married.

The actress said: “He [Nicolas Cage] was very difficult on set. But the director allowed what Nicolas wanted to do with his role, so I wasn’t in a position to do much except play with what I’d been given.

“If anything, it [Cage’s portrayal] only further illustrated my character’s disillusionment with the past. The way I saw it was, yeah, he was that a**hole.”
