Kanye West is not taking reviews of his new album lightly and has taken to Twitter to blast one producer who dared to criticise it.

The rapper was so upset by Bob Ezrin’s opinion of The Life of Pablo that he told the 66-year-old that he children must be ‘ashamed of him’.

Ezrin, who has worked with the likes of Lou Reed and Pink Floyd, wrote that West’s song-writing is “sophomoric at best’ and that he wasn’t on the same creative level as some of his contemporaries including Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore.

Cleary very upset by the critique, West wrote on Twitter: “Has anybody ever heard of Bob Ezrin??? What the f**k does he know about rap…

“I’m tired of old people that have no connection with anything trying to comment on music!

“Do something relevant… Please don’t speak on me bro ever again!!!.”

The rapper then decided to get rather personal, bringing the producer’s children into the argument.

“Your kids are ashamed of their dad… Sorry for speaking about kids… but could you imagine if you were Bob Ezrin’s kids…,” he wrote.

“I’m so sorry for them… I will send them free Yeezys to make up for the embarrassment that you have caused your family!”

“Ezrin I truly feel sorry for your friends and family that they have had to suffer an idiot like you for so many years…”

West also went on to reference Taylor Swift, who has just won her second Album of the Year at the Grammys.

“I made Dark Fantasy and Watch the Throne in one year and wasn’t nominated for either and you know who has 2 albums of the year. Welcome to pop culture!!!”
