Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West had a tense reunion in Wyoming after a week of drama which has largely played out online.

The rapper has a ranch in the US state and has been using the sprawling site as a base during his late bid for the 2020 presidential elections.

West, 43, officially launched his campaign on July 20 with an unconventional event in South Carolina.

He has also gone on a series of tweeting sprees, making numerous claims about 39-year-old Kim - who, he says, considered aborting her first pregnancy - and her family, infamously labelling Kris Jenner “Kris Jong Un”.

His behaviour and outbursts have led to concern from West’s fans and famous friends, with Justin Bieber and Dave Chapelle visiting the ranch to check on him.

On Monday afternoon, Kim was spotted in the landlocked state with TMZ publishing a picture of Kim and Kanye at a Wendy’s drive-thru.

Additional photographs obtained by the Daily Mail show the pair having a seemingly tense conversation with Kim in floods of tears.

The reunion comes after the rapper publicly apologised to his wife of six years for “going public with something that was a private matter.”

“I did not cover her like she has covered me,” he tweeted. “To Kim I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.”

Kim has publicly addressed her husband’s recent behaviour on just one occasion, sharing a moving statement about bipolar disorder.

She wrote last week: “As many of you know, Kanye has bipolar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand.”

Asking for “compassion and empathy” from the media and public, Kim added: “We as a society talk about giving grace to the issue of mental health as a whole, however, we should also give it to the individuals who are living with it in times when they need it most.”

According to tabloid reports, Kim is now encouraging Kanye to seek treatment for a “serious, bipolar episode.”

The couple share four children; North, seven, Saint, four, Chicago, two, and Psalm, one.
