Jools Oliver has written an emotional post in honour of her husband Jamie as they celebrate 20 years of marriage.

The author, 45, shared one of their wedding videos on Instagram, with a lengthy caption documenting both their happiest moments and the times they have struggled throughout their 27-year relationship.

“Twenty exciting, happy, fun wonderful years married to my best friend,” Jools wrote.

Adding they were planning on celebrating the milestone more formally, she continued: “We were due to renew our wedding vows this summer but that can wait! Twenty years married but together 27 years my first true love.”

The impassioned post saw Jools thank her chef husband for his daily romantic texts and messages, and for being “a dedicated brilliant dad.”

While celebrating the five children she shares with Jamie - Poppy, 18, Daisy, 17, Petal, 11, Buddy, nine, and River, three - Jools also made a touching reference to five miscarriages she has suffered.

“We have created five wonderful children and lost our five little stars in the sky,” she wrote. “Thank you for loving me the way you do.

“We did it, on to the next chapter.”

The video Jools posted showed her and Jamie, now 45, dancing to Dusty Springfield’s 1963 hit I Only Want to Be with You.

“Truly the happiest day with the most wonderful memories,” she added. “Still 20 years later my dance moves need updating. Better sort that out for our next wedding!”

Jools has previously spoken out about how she struggled to conceive, after being diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome when she was 16.

“I had a miscarriage at three months, which makes you so worried once you are pregnant again,” she told the Daily Mail. “It makes it impossible to enjoy the early stages of pregnancy.”

Jools recently revealed she is still keen to expand their brood, admitting she had asked Jamie if they could have “one more.”

“Jamie says, ‘You can't put an age on it because you keep on talking about it’ but just one more for River,” she said on The Red Room podcast. “I want to just stop bugging Jamie. But I feel like I don't know. I think one more.”
