Joey Essex described Nigel Farage as “reem” during a boat trip with the UKIP leader in Grimsby earlier today.
The reality TV star set sail with the UKIP leader on the Humber Venus pilot vessel from Grimsby Docks for a general election special of his ITV2 show titled, Educating Joey Essex: General Election, what are you saying?!
When asked what he thought of Mr Farage, Essex, 24, said: “He’s a really, really reem guy.”
Clearly unfamiliar with the term, Farage quipped: “I think that’s good, I’m not sure.”
Mr Farage was also asked if he knew what a "vajazzle" was, to which he replied: "I haven't a clue."
Mr Farage spoke to Essex - who used to work at Billingsgate Fish Market - about his concerns surrounding the affect of the European Union on the fishing industry in Grimsby, before unveiling his party's latest election poster emblazoned with the word "GUTTED".
Last week the former reality TV star interviewed Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg – who he previously believed to be called Nick Legg of the Liberal Democats.
He was also unleashed on Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron and Labour leader Ed Milliband ahead of the general election in May.
