Joanne Beckham: I know David's coming home when there's pie and mash in the house

David Beckham’s sister has revealed she always knows when he is to visit their family home in Essex as their mother Sandra “stocks the fridge with pie and mash”.

Joanne Beckham, 32, said she always makes sure it is full of “all the extra things” the former footballer likes including treats from the nearby Tony’s Pie and Mash Shop in Waltham Abbey.

In an interview with ES Magazine, Ms Beckham said: “The fridge is always filled up.

"Even if she [Sandra] doesn’t tell me, I know when he’s coming home because the fridge is full.”

She also told how she found it a “bit weird” when she saw her brother — who has an underwear range with high street chain H&M — posing in his smalls. “

"There would always be banter flying around in the staff room [at work]," she said.

David and Victoria Beckham have finally sold their five-bedroom Madrid home, eight years after putting it on the market.
