Jeff Brazier has broken his silence in the wake of Jack Tweed’s controversial interview in which he appeared to hit out at Brazier's parenting.

Tweed claimed Brazier was only around “once a month” to see sons Bobby, 15 and Freddie, 14, prior to Jade Goody’s death from cervical cancer in 2009.

“I brought them up for four years. Jeff only used to be around once a month for the weekend. Jeff wasn't around at the start when she was ill,” he told The Sun.

“He didn't even want to pick up the kids. My friends were going to pick them up because Jade would ring them up crying because Jeff was hard work.”

Tweed also claimed that Goody had wanted him to adopt the boys and have them live with him.

He said: “[Jade] wanted me to adopt the kids, she wanted them to live with me but obviously I said 'I can't, Jeff's their dad and I'm not going to stand in the way.’”

Brazier has since posted a cryptic video in which he encouraged his followers to talk about what they’re “struggling” with.

In the clip, Brazier said: “If you don't share with people how you feel and what you're struggling with, if you are, then people can't support you. Days like today when there's something going on in the background I'm able to talk to people about it and they are able to support me.

“As a result the situation feels so much better a lot quicker. So I'm grateful to everybody I spoke to today.”

He then went on to open up about his parenting duties, telling followers: “Separately for that, Fred made a bit of a mistake at the weekend. As I explained to him just now, it's not the mistake you make it's your actions beyond that which count and dictates what sort of person you are.

“Tonight he was doing a lot of really great stuff and I'm happy about that. Hope everyone's had a really good day and here's to another one tomorrow.”

He captioned the video: “#Oneminuteofgratitude #support #kindness #honesty #communication #pride #love #forgiveness.”

Big Brother Goody star died of cervical cancer on March 22, 2009, with her final wish being that her sons are educated at a private school, funded by the money she had intended to leave them.

Bobby has remained in private education while Freddie is supposedly now in a state school after struggling to fit in at his private school, due to ADHD.

Bobby and Freddie currently live with Brazier and his wife Kate Dwyer.
