Jamie Oliver announces arrival of fifth child with wife Jools

Jamie Oliver has announced the arrival of his fifth child with wife Jools.

The celebrity chef told fans that his wife had given birth to a little boy on Sunday evening, sharing a picture on his social media accounts.

Oliver, 41, revealed that their new arrival weighs 8 lbs and that the couple are yet to decide on a name.

He wrote on Instagram and Facebook: “And then this just happened guys !! IT'S A BABY BOY !! Everyone in the Oliver family is very surprised and beyond happy.

“He arrived safely, mum / @joolsoliver was really really amazing, unbelievably composed, natural birth and my two eldest Girls got to come in at the very end as the baby was born which was amazing to witness very very emotional.”

He added: “8 lbs ( that's 16 packs of butter for you bakers out there) anyway were all hitting the hay it's been a long day big love... bless a little baby boy Woop Woop !!!!

“And love to all you mums out there how amazing you are it blows my mind .... Big love jamie o p.s no baby names yet .”

The Olivers announced that they were expecting their fifth child back in March, having spoken about their desire to grow their family.

Back in 2013, chef Jamie spoke about the possibility of adding to their clan, saying:

“It's quite hard to have time for each other when you have four kids so I don't want another excuse for me and Jools not to have time together.

“If she really, really wants another one then she might get her way, but I am very blessed with what I've got.”

The couple are already parents to Poppy, 14, Daisy, 13, Petal, seven and Buddy, five.
