A beacon of good taste, Chloe Sevigny is as well known for her shrewd eye for fashion as she is for her blockbuster film roles. It is then, little wonder that Miu Miu’s creative director Miuccia Prada has chosen the American Psycho star to front her autumn/winter campaign.

Shot for the Italian house by iconic fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Sevigny is no newcomer to Miu Miu and last posed for them in 1996 when she was just twenty-two. A known ambassador for the label, Sevigny’s kooky, tomboyish approach to style – think Peter Pan collars and vertiginous platforms – is perfectly aligned with Miu Miu’s signature look.

In the campaign which subtly harks back to the 1970s, the actress models a selection of pieces from the house’s well received Autumn show in which trouser suits and separates played a leading role.

The campaign comes with a telling reminder: Mrs Prada has impeccable taste.
