Idris Elba whipped fans into a frenzy with a 10-second teaser of the upcoming video for Boasty as he showed off his impressive rapping skills.

The Luther actor collaborated with Stefflon Don, Wiley and Sean Paul on the song, which first dropped in January.

And now a video for the track is on the way, with Elba decked out in a red and black sheepskin jacket as he walks across set.

The clip wraps with Elba surrounded by dancers, before fans are told the whole video is “coming soon”.

Fans were going wild for the short teaser, with some discovering the actor’s rapping skills for the first time.

One wrote: “There is literally nothing you can’t do!”

Another said: “Serious question. What's it like to be the Coolest Guy on Earth?”

“OMG!!! Flo Idris!! Can’t wait! Love the song! Can’t wait for the video. Jacket is off the chain!” raved somebody else.

Many praised the “sexy” star’s latest career venture, complimenting his "stylish" jacket and saying that they "couldn't wait" for the full video to drop.

He recently opened up about playing for the guests last May, telling Ellen DeGeneres that he “thought Prince Harry was joking” when he asked.

“Harry came to a couple of parties that I DJed and he was like, 'What are you doing on [May 19]?” he said.

“I told him nothing and then he asked if I would DJ at his wedding... I was like is this a joke?”

Elba also said that he has “hung out” with Prince Harry a “couple times” having met through working with The Prince’s Trust, an organisation which helped Elba out in the early stages of his career.
