To first-time buyer Lisa Spiller, the amount of paperwork involved in moving came as a shock. However, since she works for an educational website, she naturally looked to the net for help and found ihavemoved.com's change-of-address service. "It's a great reminder of all the things you don't think of, silly things like changing the details on my supermarket club card. I sponsor an orangutan through the WWF - it reminded me about that." Spiller, who left her parents' home for a two-bedroom Hainault semi, found it easy to notify her bank and building society using forms printed off the site. As for the others: "Key in the company and ihavemoved contacts them. I work in a busy environment and it took me 15 minutes to go through it. And, apart from sending back my driving licence, it didn't cost me any money in postage." Spiller shares her new home with partner Jim O'Neill. "He didn't use the service," she laughs, "and he's still remembering things he forgot."
