It got Brian Conley off his anti-depressants, it helped Rosemary Shrager lose 31 pounds – now Hugo Taylor has become the latest I'm A Celebrity... star to claim the jungle has made him a changed man.

The Made in Chelsea star, who became the latest to be voted off the ITV show last night, said his 19 days in the Australian wild had cured his mood swings and made him “calmer, more relaxed about things”.

The 25-year-old told hosts Ant and Dec: "I'm so used to having everything done my way and in the first few days I didn't know how to react to that and everyone was getting on my nerves.

"I said I wanted to get to the final five and I'm really proud of myself - it is three weeks today."

Taylor’s top I’m A Celebrity… moments included crawling through a tunnel filled with creepy crawlies and dissolving into floods of tears when fellow contestant Rosemary Shrager called him “rude”.

Taylor left greeted his girlfriend with a passionate snog as he crossed the exit bridge, leaving just four campers to battle it out over the I'm A Celebrity... crown.

Yesterday’s episode also saw Ashley Roberts dunked into a pit of slime after failing to correctly answer questions on Sylvester Stallone, while Charlie Brooks searched for a yellow star in a giant star filled with insects and fish guts.

Former contestants have also claimed that their stints on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here have “improved” them.

Brian Conley, who left the show because of malnutrition and exhaustion, told ITV’s Daybreak that he had stopped taking anti-depressants in the jungle and had not taken them since.

Colin Baker lost two stone, while Rosemary Shrager shed two stone and three pounds.

Two days ago, the remaining campers were asked to guess who had lost the most weight in the jungle.

Whne told it was Shrager, Ashley Roberts wondered what the celebrity chef had been eating before. Darts star Eric Bristow said: "She must have been a pig."

He added: "She doesn't really look any better with losing all that lot, she needs to lose a lot more yet."
