MADE IN DEPTFORD FESTIVAL 2006
Organisers are promising an unforgettable weekend at this annual festival of music, art, food, film, and dance in SE8. The high street will be brought to life with all manner of lively events. Highlights include:
- Deptford's First Open Air Live Music Event - showcasing 10 well-known and local bands.
- Cockpit Arts Open Studios - purchase or commission jewellery, furniture and ceramics from over 70 artists currently designing for the likes of Paul Smith, Liberty and Ted Baker.
- Creekside Arts Trail - featuring a collection of art exhibitions, open studios and "behind scenes" tours.
- Fashion show - featuring hot new local talent, creative recycled textiles and vintage clothing
- Children's events - including storytelling, competitions and the "I Love Deptford" balloon launch in Deptford Market.
- Deptford Food Trail - featuring local Vietnamese, African, Malaysian and traditional English restaurants
- Brazilian, Austrian and Laban artists - performing interactive "dance" games.
