Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell get affectionate as they admit Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony is 'like their wedding'

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell put on a very affectionate display as they both received their stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Hollywood’s golden couple shared a kiss for the cameras as they were given showbiz’s highest honour during a ceremony on Thursday.

Joking that it felt like their “wedding”, Hawn, 71, said that she wished her parents could see them now.

“Did we just get married? We've never had a celebration like this before but I'm not going to pop the question,” she joked.

“I wish my mum and my dad could see me because I know they would be be really happy for me and we wouldn't believe it that this little girl that danced in the living room that wanted a regular life didn't quite get that but I got a hell of a lot more.”

Despite never making it down the aisle, Hawn and Russell have been together for 33 years, making their relationship one of the longest-standing in Hollywood.

Speaking about Hawn, Russell said: “Goldie, to you I owe my wonderful life.

“Simply put, Goldie, I cherish you. All of the stars in the sky or the boulevard don’t hold a candle to that. There’s no one else I’d rather be next to than Goldie Hawn.”

Hawn’s daughter Kate Hudson and Russell’s don Boston Russell, both from previous marriages, showed up to support their parents.
