Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has revealed that the Foo Fighters headline slot at this year's festival is currently 'uncertain.'

After hearing the news that frontman Dave Grohl had injured his leg during a show in Sweden last week, Eavis admitted that she was still unsure about whether or not the band would perform.

Speaking on Radio One's Newbeat, she said: "I was so sorry to hear that and poor Dave Grohl. It was an amazing moment when he carried on playing.

Revealing that the Pyramid Stage performance was yet to be confirmed, she added: "I'm not sure what the outcome's going to be here yet."

Despite carrying on with the gig after the painful fall in Gothenberg, the band have since pulled out of a number of scheduled shows at the Pinkpop Festival and the AFG Arena in St Gallen.

The 46-year-old impressed concert-goers last Friday when he causally announced that he thought he'd broken his leg but wanted to carry on.

He told the crowd: "Hey, ladies and gentlemen, now look I think I just broke my leg," he told the crowd. "I think I really broke my leg. So look you have my promise right now that the Foo Fighters we’re going to come back and finish this show but right now I’m going to go to hospital.

"I’m going to fix my leg but then I’m going to come back and play for you again. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry."

Despite his leg bandaged up he attempted to finish the concert sitting in a chair telling his fans: “I may not be able to walk or run but I can still play guitar and scream."

While Kanye West and The Who will perform in the headline slots on the Saturday and Sunday, Florence and the Machine will play ahead of Foo Fighters on the Friday.
