Alesha Dixon is the latest star to duet with Gary Barlow on his Crooner Sessions live stream on Instagram.

The Take That star, 49, has recruited a number of his famous friends to sing with him live on social media to lift fans’ spirits during the lockdown.

Britain’s Got Talent star Dixon, 41, joined Barlow for a special performance of her 2008 hit The Boy Does Nothing.

Posting the clip on his Instagram account, Barlow wrote: “And we’re off again!

“I’m absolutely thrilled today today to have my dear friend @aleshaofficial on #thecroonersessions.

“We’ve done everything from writing songs together to climbing mountains !!! Thank you for sharing your time with us.”

Dixon added: “It was an absolute pleasure to join my friend Mr @garybarlow for #thecroonersessions.”

The former Misteeq star appeared to be singing along to her debut solo track from her nursery, with shelves of childrens’ books on display in the background, and also had a rainbow streamer to hand to wave for the final part of the song.

Barlow and Dixon previously collaborated on Dixon’s 2009 single To Love Again, which they co-wrote with Grammy -winning producer John Shanks.

They also scaled Kilimanjaro together along with stars such as Fearne Cotton, Ronan Keating, Girls Aloud’s Cheryl and Kimberly Walsh and Denise Van Outen as part of a Comic Relief fundraiser.

Barlow has so far been joined on his Crooner Sessions by singers including Niall Horan, James Bay, Olly Murs and Alfie Boe.

He also reunited with his former Take That bandmate Robbie Williams to perform their 2010 duet Shame.
